What happened to The Comfy after Shark Tank?
Still in business Last checked October 26, 2026
Brothers Michael and Brian Speciale had only a prototype of their oversized wearable blanket when Barbara Corcoran paid $50,000 for 30% in 2017. Forbes reports revenue grew from $20 million in 2018 to $75 million in 2021, making it one of Corcoran's biggest wins. Then a U.S. Customs suspension left about 1.5 million units stuck in Chinese warehouses, and the company ran up roughly $15 million in debt. In June 2022 Michael Speciale bought out Corcoran and his brother, cut staff, and turned to licensed designs such as Mickey Mouse and Spider-Man to compete with knockoffs.
