Who is Joel Griffith?

Joel Griffith grew up in Mercer County, New Jersey, and lived in Trenton before moving west. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and government from Morehouse College and built a sales career as an account executive at major tech companies including LinkedIn, Snap Inc., Amazon and TikTok. In Los Angeles he met software engineer Maurice Bachelor through golf, and in 2023 he joined Bachelor's startup, Bot-It, as co-founder and head of growth. Bot-It is a subscription app that lets people with little technical skill set up bots to book tee times, dinner reservations, appointments and concert tickets automatically.

Griffith and Bachelor pitched on Shark Tank Season 15 in October 2023, asking $150,000 for 10%. They closed with Mark Cuban and guest shark Michael Rubin for $300,000 and 30% of the company. Bot-It had about 350 paying subscribers going in, added about 200 in the two weeks after the episode and posted a record sales month.
