Who is Maurice Bachelor?

Maurice Bachelor is a Cleveland native who earned a degree in information systems technology from Cleveland State University in 2010. A software engineer, he has worked at large tech companies including TikTok, Amazon and Snapchat, and in 2013 he launched SnapBatch, which he later sold. Now based in Los Angeles, Bachelor began working on Bot-It in 2019 after noticing there was no simple way for non-technical people to automate routine online tasks. The app lets subscribers build bots that book tee times, restaurant reservations and appointments or try for concert tickets, without coding.

After a 2022 beta, Bot-It officially launched in March 2023, and his golfing partner Joel Griffith joined as co-founder and head of growth. On Shark Tank Season 15, in an episode that aired October 13, 2023, the pair asked $150,000 for 10% and accepted $300,000 for 30% from Mark Cuban and guest shark Michael Rubin. At the time Bot-It had about 350 subscribers and roughly $30,000 in revenue; the episode brought in hundreds of new subscribers and the company's best sales month to that point.
