What happened to Chapul after Shark Tank?

Status unconfirmed Last checked October 3, 2026

Pat Crowley pitched cricket-protein energy bars in March 2014 and took $50,000 from Mark Cuban for 15%. KIND founder Daniel Lubetzky invested later, but in 2019 Chapul left the bar business after its co-packer shut down and switched to selling cricket flour. The company then changed course again: as Chapul Farms it raised $2.5 million in 2022 and a $10 million Series A in 2023 to farm black soldier fly larvae. It sells the larvae, along with insect meal, oil and frass, for pet food, aquaculture and soil.
