Who is Zhach Pham?
Zhach Pham co-founded RigStrips, a Denver-area company that makes magnetic strips for protecting vehicles from gear. He and co-founder Steven Graf are skiers, and the idea came in 2019 after a Colorado ski trip in which they noticed the scratches ski and snowboard edges left when leaned against a car. Their SnoStrip attaches magnetically to a vehicle so skis and boards can rest against it without contact with the paint, and a summer version, the SunStrip, holds fishing rods. Adhesive versions are also available, though magnetic strips make up about 90% of sales.
The company launched in 2020, sells mainly through its own site using Meta advertising, and does most of its business in November and December. By the time of its Shark Tank appearance in Season 16 it had sold about 60,000 units and $3 million in cumulative sales. The founders asked for $300,000 for 7.5%. After the other sharks declined, guest shark Todd Graves of Raising Cane's offered $300,000 for 20%, and they agreed on 15%, citing his marketing experience.
