Who is Ashley Green?
Ashley Green is a former high school English teacher who founded KaAn's Designs, a Fort Wayne, Indiana, apparel brand known for matching family and parenthood-themed shirts with relatable slogans. She started the business in 2016 with the aim of encouraging families to celebrate their connections and document their time together through coordinated clothing. She runs it with her husband, Kenny Green. The brand built its audience online, selling through its own site, Amazon and Etsy, and its products were selected for Oprah's Favorite Things list twice.
By the time of its Shark Tank taping, KaAn's Designs had about $3.2 million in lifetime sales. The couple appeared in Season 16, asking for $75,000 for 15% to increase production and keep up with customer demand. Guest shark Todd Graves, founder of Raising Cane's, made a $75,000 deal structured around a loan, and Daymond John agreed to serve as the couple's mentor without investing. KaAn's Designs continues to sell family apparel on its website, Amazon and Etsy.
