Who is Stacy Fritz?
Stacy Fritz co-founded Bunny Eyez with her sister, radio host Jenny Hutt, after a shared frustration at a Manhattan hair salon. Both had started needing reading glasses and found they could not wear standard readers while getting their hair colored. When online searches turned up nothing that fit, they designed their own: readers with a patented hinge that lets the temples flip and tilt, so the glasses can be worn while lying on one side or flipped down without straining the neck. The brand is named after their mother.
Bunny Eyez launched in 2018, sold about $600,000 that year and $1.9 million in 2019, and passed $5 million in lifetime sales. The line grew to include sunglasses and blue-light glasses, and celebrity fans helped drive sellouts. On Shark Tank in Season 15 the founders asked for $200,000 for 10% and accepted Daymond John's offer of $200,000 for 20% plus a $2-per-pair royalty, falling to 15% once he recouped. Fritz continues to run the brand, which sells online and on Amazon.
