Who is Kevin MaC?

Kevin MaC (Kevin McDonald) is a Nashville-based country artist and songwriter. Earlier in his career he worked with artists including Timbaland and Missy Elliott, which taught him the studio side of music production. In October 2022 he and Nicholas George launched TIK PIK, a guitar pick with a nano-suction grip surface designed to keep it from slipping during play. They pitched on Shark Tank Season 15 in an episode that aired November 3, 2023.

With about $60,000 in sales and a production cost of $2.44 per six-pack against a $29.95 retail price, they asked $75,000 for 10%. They accepted Mark Cuban's counteroffer of $75,000 for 16%. Since then, TIK PIK has signed with Guitar Center, which carries the picks in more than 300 stores nationwide along with an exclusive six-pack variety set, and launched Fender-branded picks in 2025. The company has moved production from China to the United States to keep up with demand.
