Who is Tate Koenig?

Tate Koenig is a kitchen-gadget inventor who has pitched on Shark Tank twice. His first product, The Cheese Chopper, a tool for slicing and storing block cheese, appeared in Season 12 and left without a deal; Kevin O'Leary told him to move on, but Koenig kept the product on the market. He launched Pizza Pack in April 2022 to fix a familiar problem: leftover pizza boxes taking over the fridge. The product is a compact, adjustable container that stores leftover slices and can go into the microwave for reheating.

Pizza Pack had about $250,000 in sales when Koenig returned to Shark Tank for the Season 14 premiere in September 2022, asking $100,000 for 10%. Several sharks bid. He turned down a buyout offer from Mark Cuban and accepted Lori Greiner's offer of $100,000 for 13%, betting that keeping ownership with Greiner as a partner would be worth more. The episode drove roughly 22,000 Amazon orders, and Pizza Pack now sells through its own site, Amazon and Walmart.
