Who is Henry Pease?
Henry Pease is the engineer of the three brothers behind Rekkie, the smart snow goggle company from Cincinnati. He earned a degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton and worked as a research engineer for a car company in Silicon Valley before the business. The brothers grew up skiing together, and the idea came after Henry was separated from his group on a ski trip and struggled to find them. Rekkie's goggles project a heads-up display into the lens and add group communication and location features.
Henry leads hardware and designed the Rekkie app and technology, and he works on the company full-time. The brothers put about $200,000 of their own money into the launch, added a $40,000 grant, and began selling in late 2022. On Shark Tank in Season 15 they asked for $300,000 for 10%. Mark Cuban offered $300,000 for 15%, and the brothers negotiated him down to 12.5%.
Reporting in 2024 found no evidence the deal had closed. Rekkie kept developing its product and released an updated goggle, the Spekter 2.0, in early 2025.
